The YES Learner (1-year fixed term contract) at Clover is an entry-level Human Resources learnership designed for unemployed youth aged 18–35. The role gives practical workplace experience in HR administration, recruitment support, employee record keeping, compliance, and general office duties. The learner will assist with filing employee documents, scheduling interviews, preparing onboarding packs, supporting audits, responding to basic HR queries, and attending training sessions. This opportunity helps candidates build administrative, communication, organisational, and professional workplace skills while gaining exposure to core HR functions in a corporate environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with employee filing, contracts, and HR records
• Scan, photocopy, and archive HR documents
• Maintain confidentiality of employee and company information
• Help schedule interviews and communicate with candidates
• Prepare onboarding packs and induction documents
• Support reference checks and document verification
• Assist with new employee orientation sessions
• Support HR audits and compliance checks
• Ensure records are stored according to POPIA and company policies
• Respond to basic HR-related queries
• Assist with HR projects and initiatives
• Attend workplace training, coaching, and development sessions
• Perform any other reasonable duties assigned by the HR Manager

Qualifications

• Must be 18 to 35 years old
• Must be unemployed at the time of appointment
• Minimum qualification: Grade 12 / Matric
• A tertiary qualification or studies in any of the following is an advantage:
• Human Resources
• Industrial Psychology
• Business Administration
• Related field
• Must meet the YES Programme eligibility criteria
